1. Who we are
Drain Surgeons (12 Canal Street, Manchester M1 3HE) is the data controller for information collected through this website. Contact us at hello@drainsurgeons.example with any privacy questions.
2. What we collect, and why
- Contact form: name, phone, email, and your message — used to respond to your enquiry.
- Instant Quote tool: your answers about the job (service, urgency, property type, access), plus name, phone, and email — used to give a ballpark estimate and follow up with an accurate quote.
- Online booking: your chosen date/time, name, phone, email, and any notes — used to confirm and manage your appointment.
- AI concierge chat: the messages you send are logged so we can review missed enquiries and improve responses. If you choose to leave your details for a callback, we store your name and contact method to follow up.
- WhatsApp button: opens WhatsApp directly on your device. Messages sent this way are handled under WhatsApp (Meta)'s own privacy policy, not ours.
3. Legal basis
We process this data under legitimate interest (responding to enquiries you've initiated) and, where you book a service, to perform a contract with you.
4. Where it's stored
Form and booking submissions are stored in our Supabase database (hosted in the EU/UK where configured) and, for anything requiring a reply, forwarded to our team via Resend email delivery. Reviews shown on this site are pulled from our public Google Business Profile and don't involve your data.
5. Cookies
This site does not use analytics or advertising cookies. It only uses strictly necessary functionality (e.g. remembering your chat session while your browser tab is open), which doesn't require consent under UK PECR. If we add analytics or marketing tools in future, we'll add a cookie consent banner at that point.
6. How long we keep it
We keep enquiry and booking records for as long as needed to provide our service and meet accounting/legal obligations, typically no longer than 24 months from your last contact with us.
7. Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask to access, correct, or delete your data, or object to how we use it. Contact us at hello@drainsurgeons.example or write to the address above. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
